U.S. Snowboarding Grand Prix hits the Superpipe at Copper Dec. 10-12

Copper Mountain is once again hosting the first stop of the U.S. Snowboarding Grand Prix Dec. 10-12. Copper’s Superpipe is located just steps away from the Village at Copper and Burning Stones Plaza, so you can mix action and relaxation with the greatest of ease. Qualifying heats for the women start the weekend off at 10:30 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 10; men will qualify in three rounds on Friday, with finals for both starting at 11 a.m. Saturday. Find the complete schedule and more news about the event at the U.S. Snowboarding Grand Prix site.

The Denver Post just had a good interview with Bud Keene, snowboarding superstar Shaun White’s coach, during which he talked about the evolution of the sport as well as the special half-pipe Red Bull built for White to practice on in Silverton last spring.
