Shaun White, Kelly Clark win at U.S. Snowboarding Grand Prix

Shaun White took a big first step toward defending his Olympic gold medal in Vancouver by winning the U.S. Snowboarding Grand Prix on Saturday at Copper Mountain. The Flying Tomato bested Louie Vito (47.0-45.6). On the women’s side of the competition, 2002 gold medalist Kelly Clark took first as she beat out 2006 silver medalist Gretchen Bleiler of Aspen.
