Schild shines again, but Vonn turning up the heat in World Cup slalom

It’s definitely Marlies Schild’s turn to dominate on the women’s World Cup circuit. The Austrian superstar won her fifth straight slalom (that’s every race this season) under the lights on Tuesday (Jan. 3) in Zagreb, Croatia.

All of which might lead you to forget about American Lindsey Vonn, who dominated the early speed events in a similar fashion. But not so fast: the American overcame a case of the flu during her first run to post the second-fastest second run. See where she finished and how it improved her World Cup overall standing.
