Lindsey Vonn leads training for downhill one week after stomach virus slowed her down

Lindsey Vonn would appear to be feeling better after a stomach bug slowed her down last week. She had the top training run today (Jan. 12) in the downhill ahead of this weekend’s World Cup race (Jan. 12) at Cortina d Ampezzo, Italy. Read more.

JAN. 10: We know how we feel when we have a stomach bug. Awful. More than content to hide away from everyone until things settle down. Lindsey Vonn doesn’t have that luxury during the World Cup skiing season. The American superstar not only is expected to be at each race, she’s expected to win or be near the top of each competition.

All of which made last week a rough one for the World Cup overall points leader during races in Austria. See what she has to say about the virus, how she managed to compete and how her health is doing in her World Cup diary in the Denver Post.

Lindsey felt much better when she posed for a recent photo shoot with an Italian sports magazine. See the photos.
