Julia Mancuso claims her first World Cup win of the season in Super G

Julia Mancuso celebrates her Super G win.

An American won Sunday’s (Feb. 5) Super G in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany. But it wasn’t the American who’s been winning races all season.

Julia Mancuso finally broke through for a victory, her first since last season’s final race, amid frigid temperatures on the course. In all, Mancuso now has six career wins on the World Cup ski tour.

Lindsey Vonn, the overall points leader and the winner of Saturday’s downhill, skied off the course, as did Tina Maze and a number of other notable skiers. Read more.
