Glen Plake returns to climbing in wake of fatal Nepal avalanche

Glen Plake climbing Arête des Cosmiques on Chamonix’s Aiguille du Midi

Glen Plake got “back on the horse,” climbing in France a little more than a week after an avalanche high in the Himalayas claimed two of his partners.

See for yourself in the video (below) made by freeskier and climber Nathan Wallace as Plake and his wife, Kimberly, scaled Arête des Cosmiques on Chamonix’s Aiguille du Midi.

Our thoughts are with the Plakes, and all the families of those who lost loved ones in the avalanche, as they move on in the wake of the tragedy.
