Lindsey Vonn released from Vail hospital, unsure about return to skiing

Nov. 15: The U.S. Ski Team has announced that ailing superstar Lindsey Vonn will not attend an event planned for Thursday  in Vail to introduce the team to the public. Read more.

Nov. 14: World champion skier Lindsey Vonn left the hospital in Vail on Wednesday, two days after being admitted for intestinal pain. Learn more about her diagnosis and when she will resume skiing. Story.

Nov. 13: Lindsey Vonn has been hospitalized with severe pain — and no one seems to know the cause.

The World Cup overall champ has not been on skis since Oct. 27, her ski technician told the Associated Press, and has been in and out of the hospital in Vail, Colo., more than once in recent weeks. Given that situation, Vonn would seem highly unlikely to ski next week in the Nature Valley Aspen Winternational World Cup races scheduled in Aspen.
